Remote Support Help

Follow these steps if you have trouble downloading or opening My Remote Support.

1. Download My Remote Support

Return to the Remote Support page and click Download My Remote Support. The downloaded file should be named My-Remote-Support.exe.

2. If your browser shows a warning

Microsoft Edge or another browser may warn that the application is not commonly downloaded. If you started the download from the Rexx-IT Remote Support page and the filename is My-Remote-Support.exe, use the browser's available option to keep the file and continue.

Do not disable your browser security or antivirus software. If the warning is different from what you expect, contact Rexx-IT before continuing.

3. Open the downloaded file

Open My-Remote-Support.exe from your browser's Downloads list or from your Downloads folder. No installation is required.

4. If Windows displays a security message

Windows may ask you to confirm that you want to run the application. Check that the application you are opening is My-Remote-Support.exe, then use the Windows options presented to continue if you trust the download.

Never turn off Microsoft Defender, SmartScreen, or other endpoint protection just to run the support application.

5. Wait for “Ready”

After the application opens, wait until its status shows Ready. The application will display an ID and password for the remote support session.

6. Give the ID and password to Rexx-IT

Provide the displayed ID and password only to the Rexx-IT support technician assisting you. The technician can then request the remote connection.

Still not working?

If the application does not open, does not show Ready, or displays a network or connection error, please contact Rexx-IT. An existing or older RustDesk configuration on the computer can sometimes interfere with the support application, and Rexx-IT can help check this safely.
